A Book |
I recommend a Book called
'365 Ways to Save the Earth', by Philippe Bourseiller.
It has a suggestion for every day of the year and is illustrated with beautiful photos which makes it a great 'coffee tabe book'.

A Web Site |
The Ethical Consumer is a good starting-point providing a wide coverage. |
Coffee |
Coffee is, for many of us, an essential of daily life.
Starbucks have made a major commitment to FairTrade,
the programme that promise to return as much money as possible to the Coffee grower.
|
| Recycling (UK) |
We should all aim to Recycle as much as we can. |
Supermarkets (UK) |
Supermarkets are also an essential of daily life.
Marks and Spencer have also made a big commitment to FairTrade, so if you shop at M&S you will be doing your bit to be a Ethical Consumer.

Sustainable Development (UK) |
Here's an interesting reference on ICT and Sustainability.

Travel by Air |
Bicycles are, of course, the most environment-friendly option, but not so practical for travelling long distances.
If you have to fly, then Wanderlust Magazine will help you understand the impact of your flight on the environment.

Travel by Car |
BP is taking seriously the problems of
Climate Change.
The Loremo car from Germany was announced on March 1st. as the most environment-friendly car in the world.
It has a claimed fuel economy figure of 188 miles per gallon, or 67 km per litre.
Friends of the Earth said 'Greener, more efficient fuel cars are essential and the Loremo is a very interesting development".
